Postpartum Hair Loss aka Postpartum Alopecia

Um hello now we’re going bald?! 😳😱

If you’ve ever experienced postpartum hair loss before, you know that it can cause a real panic if you’re not prepared for it.

One of the questions we get asked more than any other is “is this normal?!?!” about nearly every postpartum symptom you can think of. 🙈 More often than not, yes, it’s normal. Hair loss included.

Some women will experience this more intensely than others, but you will likely notice some degree of hair shedding around the 3-4 month mark postpartum.

If you’re preparing for your fourth trimester now, just know that this is a possibility and that it will pass. Check with your provider always, however, if you think there’s something else going on!
